The Power of Defense Meets the Minds of the Future!
As part of the Learn & Connect: Teknofest Campus Gathering held on May 2, 2025, the General Managers of ASELSAN and ROKETSAN, two leading organizations in Turkey’s defense industry, came together with our students on campus. The event was also attended by METU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, who addressed the students.
ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol and ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci shared current developments in defense technologies and the strategic objectives of Turkey’s National Technology Initiative.
During this highly interactive session, students had the opportunity to directly ask their questions about both technical topics and career opportunities. Valuable insights were provided regarding the recruitment processes, expectations, and opportunities offered by ASELSAN and ROKETSAN to young engineering candidates.
We were honored to host visionary leaders of the defense sector in this event, which enhanced our students' awareness of the industry and highlighted how young talents can contribute to our country’s advances in critical technological fields.
