Important Announcements

Dear Students,

For the 2025-2026 Academic Year, important information about the dormitories is as follows:
1. The First Phase applications for our Dorms for the 2025-2026 Academic Year will be accepted between 'June 1st, 2025 - June 30th, 2025' (http://basvuru.ncc.metu.edu.tr/yurt). Please be advised that the Second Phase placements will mainly be done for the new students, so it is important for you to submit your applications in the First Phase if you want to secure a room in the Dorms in the next Academic Year. The current students will still be able to apply in the Second Phase as well, but their chance of being placed in a room will be much lower.
2. The results of the First Phase applications will be announced on July 11th, 2025 at the end of the workday.
3. The due date for payments for the First Phase is August 8th, 2025. Students who have been placed but do not make the payment by this date will lose their right to the First Phase placement. However, they will be allowed to reapply during the Second Phase dormitory applications.
4. The opening date of the dormitories is September 22th, 2025.
5. For the Second Phase applications will be announced after YÖK announces the placement results.
6. To confirm dormitory placement, all preference options must be marked, and the dormitory fee must be paid within the specified deadline.
7. Students who do not pay the dormitory fee will not be allowed to move into the dormitory.
8. Temporary accommodation will be provided for students who will take the English Proficiency exam in September. Those who have paid the dormitory fee for the 2025-2026 academic year will be able to stay for this temporary period free of charge.
9. As in the previous Academic Year, EBİ-2 Dormitory on our campus will carry out the admission and registration procedures independently from the central dorms placement system of METU NCC, taking into account the students' date of application.

Important Note 1: The guarantee given to the first-year students will only be valid when they apply in the First Phase, select all the Dorm options, and make the payment by the due date.
Important Note 2: Beginning with the 2019-2020 Academic Year, dorm fee refunds are possible only for the students in their first term on the campus. Other students will not be refunded except for cases of force majeure.
These cases are:
a) Withdrawal from study due to failure in the METU English Proficiency Exam,
b) Suspension of study by getting approval from the University,
c) Obtaining a leave of absence from the University due to health reasons,
d) Having another excuse accepted by the Executive Board of Dorms)
