Minor Program in Water Resources

MINOR PROGRAM IN Water Resources

The interdisciplinary field of water resources, including water-energy nexus, contributes significantly to addressing the grand challenges of the present and future. Minor Program in Water Resources provides a fundamental understanding of water resources, hydromechanics, hydrology, and associated topics.

This minor program is open to all students whose major area is outside Civil Engineering.

Conditions of Minor Program Completion

There are a total of 6 courses in this minor program; 3 of them are mandatory, and 3 of them are elective courses. Students must take fluid mechanics, hydrodynamics, and hydrology courses to get the fundamentals of water resources. Some of these courses may be taken as a part of the students’ major program. In that case, those courses can be counted towards the Water Resources minor program. The remaining courses, three elective courses, would give insight into water resources.
