STUDENT SOCIETIES

Joining student organizations is an integral part of the METU Northern Cyprus Campus experience. A total of 44 registered student-led clubs and societies, which cover a variety of interests to meet the needs of a culturally diverse student body, provide valuable opportunities for students to participate actively in extracurricular activities, creating a richer campus experience. METU fosters an inclusive culture that values the unique talents of all students and welcomes the contribution made to student life and surrounding communities by clubs, societies and other student organizations and initiatives. In an effort to enhance this culture, the Office of Social and Cultural Affairs provides support to, and works in close collaboration with, the student organizations and encourages their activities that extend the academic experience beyond the classroom and promote the intellectual and personal growth of students, whilst helping them flourish and grow toward their full potential in all dimensions.
Over 300 events, including webinars, seminars, workshops, festivals, concerts, plays, musicals, and trips, have been organized by the METU NCC student clubs and societies during the 2022-2023 academic year.
