Educational Form
Graduates or students who are no longer registered can submit their requests for an Educational Form using the “Educational Form Request Program” available at application.metu.edu.tr. Directives about the program are as follows:
Who can use this program?
- The Educational Form can be obtained by graduates and students with the semester status of not-registered (i.e., those who never enrolled or have canceled their registration). Therefore, this program is intended for use by graduates or students who are no longer registered.
- Graduates or former METU students with active user accounts can log in to the system using their METU username and password.
- Users with deactivated accounts must use the “Inactive User” link to create a new login for the system.
What does “Inactive User” mean?
- The term “Inactive User” refers to graduates or students with a non-registered status whose accounts have been deactivated. As these individuals cannot access the system with their METU username and password (their e123456-style user codes), they are required to register using a different e-mail address.
What should I do if my student ID number cannot be found in the system? (For inactive users)
- If your student ID number cannot be found in the system, you cannot log in to the application program. An e-mail will be sent automatically to the Registrar’s Office regarding the issue. The Registrar’s Office will check the records and will inform you about your student ID number.
How can I obtain an Educational Form?
- A standard Educational Form (without additional details) is instantly generated by the system with a QR code and made available for download as a PDF.
- The generated document is valid for one month. Within this period, the document can be verified using the QR code.
- If a new document is requested or generated by the system before the validity period of an existing document expires, the old document remains valid for verification. However, the verifying institution will be notified about the creation of a new request or document in the system.
- For an Educational Form with specific notes (e.g., scholarship, disciplinary status, tuition fee payment, grading system, English Proficiency Exam result, etc.), students must click the “Educational Form Request” link and complete the relevant fields.
- Educational Form requests that include specific notes are sent to the advisors of the Registrar's Office via the system for approval and preparation.
- After the Registrar's Office processes the request, the system generates the document with a QR code for verification, and the student is notified via e-mail that the PDF is available for download through the application program.
- Students can track the status of their requests via the “Educational Form Request" link in the application program.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Is it possible to make multiple applications?
- If you have submitted a request for an Educational Form with specific notes, you cannot submit a new request until the Registrar's Office has completed the approval and document preparation process.
- If you have requested a standard Educational Form (without additional details), yes, you can submit a new request. If a new document is requested or generated by the system before the validity period of an existing document expires, the old document remains valid for verification. However, the institution verifying the document will be notified about the creation of a new request or document in the system.
2. Can I submit the same PDF file to multiple institutions?
- Yes, you can. You do not need to submit separate requests for each institution. During its validity period, the document may be downloaded multiple times and provided to multiple institutions.
3. I have downloaded the Educational Form without a specific note. But I want to get a new one with specific notes. What should I do?
- You may make a new request by clicking the "New Application" button.
4. When will my Educational Form with specific notes be ready?
- You may download your document within 1 working day following your application. The status of your document can be tracked via the “Educational Form Request" link in the application program and through the e-mail notification sent by the Registrar's Office.
5. I am a graduate/former student. I want to get an Educational Form. What should I do?
- You can access the application program by clicking the “Educational Form Request" link at application.metu.edu.tr . You may proceed and complete your application by following the “Educational Form Support” menu.
