2023 - 2024 ACADEMIC YEAR SPRING SEMESTER TRANSFER ANNOUNCEMENT

Students who will apply for transfer to METU North Cyprus Campus programmes for the Spring Semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year are required to fill out the application form below and send it to nccregatmetu.edu.tr between 22-30 January 2024 until 17:00 on Tuesday, 30 January at the latest.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Quota types, application conditions within the scope of quota types, conditions regarding OSYS and equivalent scores are specified in the Middle East Technical University Undergraduate Programmes Undergraduate Transfer Directive and the directive can be accessed from the

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
Students applying from METU North Cyprus Campus
- METU students do not have to submit any documents (transcript etc.) for application.
- A document stating that there is no disciplinary penalty (The Registrar's office will prepare the document)

Students applying from the METU Ankara Campus
-Transcript: A transcript showing all the courses taken at the institution where the student is enrolled, the grades obtained from these courses and the grade point average (transcript). Photocopies are not accepted
-Student Certificate
- Proof of no disciplinary penalty
- ÖSYS or equivalent exam result certificate: The exam result document submitted by the student at the time of admission to the university DGS, LYS, GCE, SAT, ABITUR. (with the conditions specified in the relevant regulation for TC / TRNC students who study abroad)
-Photocopy of Identity Card / Passport Photocopy

ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS OF PRE-EVALUATION AND EVALUATION
Phase I: Pre-evaluation
The preliminary evaluation is carried out to determine whether the candidates fulfil the application conditions specified in the regulation. The applications of the candidates who meet the requirements of the regulation are forwarded to the relevant academic units for evaluation. Applications of the candidates, which do not fulfill the requirements, are “rejected” during the application process.

As a result of the preliminary evaluation, those who are rejected at the application stage are informed via e-mail.
 

Phase II: Evaluation
The acceptance/rejection results of the candidates who meet the application conditions specified in the Regulation and whose applications are evaluated by the relevant academic units will be announced to them via e-mail.

ADAPTATION PROCEDURES
In intra-METU transfers, the courses and grades taken by students in their previous programmes are included in the grade point averages of the students in their new programmes (except for the courses counted as out-of-program) and in their transcripts. Equivalence procedures (adjustment) are carried out for courses taken with different codes.
