Getting Started

Congratulations on your admittance to METU NCC! As you begin to think about your trip to Northern Cyprus, we’d like to offer you some important information that will be helpful in your planning... We hope that you will take the time to review this online guide carefully, as it should answer many of the questions that you may have. Upon arrival, you will receive much more information and have opportunities to attend orientation sessions. Best wishes as you plan your travel to METU Northern Cyprus Campus. First Steps for students who are outside of the Northern Cyprus

Before you arrive, you MUST do the following:

1. Make an appointment with the nearest Turkish Embassy/Consulate (www.mfa.gov.tr ) to get advise on the VISA requirements of both Turkey and TRNC.

2. Go to the Turkish Embassy / Consulate with your acceptance letter issued by the METU Northern Cyprus Campus; apply for the Turkish transit visa.                                                       

3. Pick up passport with Turkish transit visa

4. Prepare for travels to the METU Northern Cyprus Campus 30 days before your program
starting date.

5. Arrive in the Turkey and find your connection flight for Northern Cyprus

6. Arrive in the Northern Cyprus and show your acceptance letter to the custom officer.

7. Check in at the METU Northern Cyprus Campus Student Affairs.

* Nigerians required to obtain a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) visa before they travel to North Cyprus. TRNC visa should be obtained from the nearest TRNC Consulate, for nearest TRNC consulate visit . http://www.trncinfo.com/
