SEEKS TEACHING ASSISTANTS

FOR UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

Job Description:

Teaching assistants, supervised and monitored by course instructors, will be responsible for tutorial and recitation hours, marking homeworks, projects and quizzes, proctoring exams, supervising laboratory experiments and lab-based learning in support of a student-centered learning environment. Teaching assistants will also be expected to fulfill other duties assigned by the University Administration such as student advisory during registration periods, establishment of laboratory and/or computing infrastructure, and conducting analyses and studies.

Teaching assistants will be recruited on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) in the following fields:

Fields:

·         Computer Engineering

·         Mechanical Engineering

·         Electrical and Electronics Engineering

·         Chemical Engineering

Person Specifications:

  • To hold a Master’s degree in the field applied for. (Candidates who only hold BS degree may still apply to be considered for Laboratory Assistant position)
  • To hold a CGPA of 2.50/4.00 in undergraduate study and a CGPA of 3.00/4.00 in graduate study.
  • To have completed the 8-semester undergraduate study period in not more than 9 semesters.  
  • To be proficient in English: To have obtained a score of 75 in KPDS/ÜDS in the last two years (or an equivalent score in other recognized tests of English)
