Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus Press Day was held on 23.10.2007.

Many press representatives responded to president Prof. Turgut Tümer's invitation by showing up to the METU NCC Press Day. The event started with Prof. Tümer's welcoming speech, which also included a detailed briefing on METU NCC's mission, history, administrative, financial, and academic structure. He then discussed other topics of interest such as campus development and investments, undergraduate programs, student and staff profiles. Prof. Tümer concluded by stressing the significance of METU NCC's role in the advancement of local and broader Turkish Cypriot community.

A campus tour was next provided to the press, starting with the gym facilities, the health center, and the dormitories. The tour concluded with a visit to the Cultural and Congress Center, and the University Library. Having witnessed the developments at METU NCC first hand with great interest, the members of the press applauded the existing campus infrastructure, and the ongoing developments.

The Press Day ended with a lunch held at the Vitamin Bar in honor of the guests, which was also attended by representatives of the administrative and academic staff.
