As part of METU's 52nd anniversary celebrations, METU Day was celebrated with a ceremony at 19:00, 23 May, Friday, at METU Northern Cyprus Culture and Congress Center. METU Day activities commenced with Mübeccel Siber's art exhibition, "Impressions of Cyprus", followed by the speeches of METU Northern Cyprus Campus President Prof. Dr. Turgut Tümer, METU President Ural Akbulut and Minister of Education Canan Öztoprak, respectively. The ceremony ended with a concert by Ahmet Kanneci and Ekrem Öztan, which was followed by a coctail.
