Sand Sculpture Festival

2nd Sand Sculpture Festival and Competition took place on the 26th of May 2007 in Famagusta. Eastern Mediterranean University hosted the event at the EMU Beach club facilities. The event continued with 80 groups in the competition and barbeque accompanied by DJs playing favourite musics of all kinds. METU NCC attended the activities with more than 20 people including academic and administrative staff as well as students. 2 Groups from METU NCC "Chicos de la Arena" and "Send me a sweet dream" have won awards. "Chicos de la Arena" won one of the three Accomplishment Awards. "Send me a sweet dream" won the Architecture Special Award. The Festival continued with music and barbeque which lasted till late night.
