"In addition to 29 compulsory credit courses (and 5 non-credit
courses), students must take at least half of their 11 elective
courses from the PSIR list. Thus PSIR students must take at least 6
electives from the PSIR programme. Of the remaining electives (as many
as 5), at least half (as many as 3) must be taken from social science
faculty electives (i.e, currently from ECO or BUS). The remaining
electives (maximum of 2) may be taken as 'free' electives from other
programmes. (There is one exception to the free elective limit :
student who undertake a single continuous series of courses in
language (currently French or German) may take more than two free
electives of that language."
